STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS
Globex Corporation, a multi-national, multidiscipline engineering firm with offices in the USA, Canada, and Europe is seeking Structural Engineers experienced with analysis and design of steel and concrete structures for industrial buildings and material handling equipment in heavy industry. We are looking for self motivated, focused and goal-oriented individuals. We provide engineering and inspection service to a variety of clients in NW Indiana and the Chicago Metropolitan Area.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 3+ Years of Design Experience in Structural Engineering
• Proficiency in STAAD (or similar program) and AutoCAD
• Good Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal Skills
with Clients and Co-workers
• Flexible work schedule and quick response to customer
needs
RESPOSIBILITIES
• Performing Calculations as Required for the Determination
of Loading Conditions per Applicable Design Codes and for
the Analysis and Design of Existing and Proposed Structures
• Preparation of Formal Reports to Document the Analysis
and Design Information including Cost Estimates
• Drafting of Structural Plans, Sections and Details
for New Construction and Modification to Existing Structures
• Physical Examination and Evaluation of Existing Structures,
Development of Reports and Repair Procedures to Correct Deficiencies
Identified or for Reinforcing/Re-building the Entire Structure
• Interaction with Clients and other Consultants

STRUCTURAL INSPECTORS
Globex Corporation, a multi-national, multidiscipline engineering firm with offices in the USA, Canada and Europe, is seeking qualified individuals to perform condition inspection and evaluation of steel structures including industrial buildings, overhead cranes, crane runways and related structures. We are looking for self-motivated, focused and goal-oriented individuals. We provide engineering and inspection service to variety of clients in NW Indiana and the Chicago Metropolitan Area.
REQUIREMENTS
• High School or Associate Degree in Civil/Structural
Engineering
• 5+ Years of Experience in Erection and/or Repair of
Steel Structures
• Familiarity with AWS and Safety Codes
• Good Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal Skills
with Clients and Co-workers
• Flexible work schedule and quick response to customer
needs and willingness to work off-shifts
• Must be able to work on elevated structures
DUTIES
• Condition Inspection and Evaluation of Steel Structures,
Mill Buildings, Cranes, Crane Runways, Bridges, Towers, Stacks
and Similar Industrial Structures
• Preparation of Inspection Reports with Sketches and
Recommendations for Repair of Deficiencies Found
• Interaction with Clients and other Co-workers
